Excursion Details:
  • Educational workshops for key stage 3: “Daily life in France during the German occupation”, “resistance/collaboration”. Workshops tailored to be specific to keys stage 2, 3 or 4 learning.
  • The Caen Memorial museum is dedicated to the twentieth century history. From the second world war exhibitions to the D-Day landing beaches tours you can tailor your trip accordingly.
  • Full day trips include guided visits to the landing beaches, American and German cemeteries, Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc.
  • Falaise memorial – a new museum dedicated to both the life and survival of the civilians during WWII
  • 1944 Radar Museum – discover the daily life of the German soldiers in charge of the air reconnaissance inside the bunkers.
  • The Souvenir, American, Canadian and British Gardens can be visited.
