Paris: Learn the French language in the perfect school trip destination.
For a school tour, there are few cities in the world that can compete with Paris. When it comes to famous landmarks, Paris certainly has more than its fair share. The Eifel Tower, Sacré Coeur, The Louvre, Arc De Triomphe - where do you start? It the most popular tourist destination in the world with 45 million tourists annually.
Paris is, of course, the capital city of France, with an estimated population of 2,140,526 residents as of 1 January 2019.
Since the 17th century, Paris has been one of Europe's major centres of finance, diplomacy, commerce, fashion, science, as well as the arts.
Dubbed the City of Light (la Ville Lumière) and Capital of Fashion, Paris is home to the world's finest and most luxurious fashion designers and cosmetics, such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, Yves Saint-Laurent, Guerlain, etc. A large part of the city, including the River Seine, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The city has the second-highest number of Michelin restaurants in the world (after Tokyo).
We are the leading provider of bespoke school trips to Paris.
For those interested in art, the city of Paris has an illustrious artistic pedigree. Renoir, Rodin, Picasso, Monet, Manet, Dalí and Van Gogh are but a few of the masters who have lived and worked here over the years.
Paris is one of the world's great art repositories, harbouring treasures from antiquity onwards.
There are, of course, the big hitters like the incomparable Louvre (best museum in the world?) the Musée d’Orsay’s exceptional impressionist collection, and the Centre Pompidou’s cache of modern and contemporary art.
In addition to this, there are scores of smaller museums which showcase every imaginable genre. So step away from the well-trodden path and you will find a diverse range of venues. Some of these mount major exhibitions whilst others are just special in their own right, and well worth a visit.
Younger visitors will also be interested in the city's vibrant street art which pops up in the most unlikely of places. Everywhere you go there are artists creating stunning art forms one the pavement - with nothing more than a couple of crayons.
Learn the French Language in Paris and surrounding towns.
So if you fancy a day trip out of the capital you don't need to go far. The towns of Versailles, Rambouillet and Chartres are near enough to Paris for day trips and are full of history and culture.
Louis XIV transformed his father’s hunting lodge into the monumental Château de Versailles in the mid-17th century, and it remains France’s most famous and grand palace.
Situated in the leafy suburb of Versailles, 22km southwest of central Paris, the baroque château was the kingdom’s political capital and the seat of the royal court from 1682 up until the fateful events of 1789. It is in that year the revolutionaries massacred the palace guard.
Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were ultimately dragged back to Paris, where they were ingloriously guillotined.
Rambouillet is a commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France in north-central France. It is located on the outskirts of Paris, 44.3 km (27.5 mi) southwest from the centre. Rambouillet is a sub-prefecture of the department.
It lies on the edge of the vast Forest of Rambouillet and is famous for its historic castle, the Château de Rambouillet, which hosted several international summits.
